I lived in Ndola and this was the very first masjid I ever knew. When there for Madressa. I know and remember the imam, mwalana Koya. He used to come to Kanini primary school to take us for religious class every Monday morning. I now live in the UK.

As a former student that graduated in 1989 in Electrical engineering technology, I am of the opinion that NORTEC should be upgraded to a university. It is time that the institution should be a university. With the skills I attained from NORTEC I practiced electrical engineering skills in Texas industrial firms even though I had to familiarize with the National Electrical Code, in the host State and be licensed. I further went to complete my Bachelor of Science in Management (Electrical Engineering and Management) and Master of Science in Management. This suggestion/recommendation is not only for the NORTEC leadership but also for the highest level in the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, in Zambia. Please, keep up with your leadership and we all want the young generation to be science and engineering savvy. Regards and may God bless you all John Ndunduma Former NORTEC "Malight" Student jn0825@msn.com

It was a good little school and a very good head I remember. I don't remember doing art club either. Oh dear!! I expect you are now about 50 something?

Hi, I went to Ndola Primary from around 1967 to 1972 and we definitely had mixed classes. I have lovely memories of the school. I remember some of the teachers names, do any of you remember them; Mrs Foley, Mr Thuysman, Miss Fry. Some of my classmates I remember were; Penny Batsos, Marjorie, Tee Banda, Paresh Patel, Rajesh Desai, Greg, Paul, Rebecca, Timothy Fucher, June Tapper, Clifford De Sousa. My name is Annette Slater, my younger sister Jane was also at the school from 19670 to 1972. Regards Annette.

In 1979, the school changed and management allowed Black children to learn together with white children. The first black head was Mr. Mutale in the year 1979. This is on the home page of the school and inaccurate as I taught there between 1970 and 1973 and we had mixed classes of children black, white and brown. Our headteacher was also black - I can't remember his name.
